Civil Unrest in the European country of Moldova has US forces engaging the insurgents however there is a new threat who has decided both are their enemy. This new threat resides in an alternative spectrum that makes them invisible to the naked eye and instant death to anyone confronting them. Locals believe they are Spirits of War but others believe they are superior arms technology fabricated by the Moldova government.. A sci-fi/thriller story centered on a special-ops team that is dispatched to fight supernatural beings. This movie could have been so corny, but it doesn't! I just think it was a really cool movie. It had a really nice flow. Mixing CGI and real-life flawlessly. It really was that good to my eyes. Was thinking it was not a B-movie at all while watching it. As I presumed it to be. But as read here it never really was. To my eyes no difference: either I like a movie, or not. And I clearly did.

So yeah, not much to add to that. I liked the good acting, decor was really nice, story was cool, the monster was cool. Props to it's makers. *Spoilers*

I give it a solid 7, because I admit I am a bit biased. I love the piew piew sci-fi movies with great special effects and awesome armor. And that is what this movie was. A proper sci-fi movie with great action scenes, great special effects, good acting (for the most part) and a nice setting. With some cool old school soviet gear in the background. I think even the tanks in the courtyard scene where modified T-55s ?

For the story itself, it started good but ended not all that great. I think it was an original thought that the ghost-like beings where engineered/build and did not came from a big hole in the sky that links earth with another dimension or world. But in the last 30 minutes or so they come from knowing almost nothing about the beings to figuring out what they are, building weapons and armor from basically scratch, planning a offensive on a hunch and kicking ass in a facility they have never been in, and have almost no Intel on. And how beings that act fully autonomous ( as they imply? ) can be killed by pulling a plug in some dark bunker? I would buy it if it was for the beings in the building itself that are hooked on the machines, but not for the ones that are out. And after all that, he still needs to pull the plug on each and one of them because they are still alive/dead ?

BUT besides all that I still enjoyed the movie, and appreciate all the work they put in to it. The armor, guns, vehicle's and set look awesome. Just look at it with the right attitude, it is a action movie with some basic plot line and very cool special effects and great atmosphere. Basically I enjoyed it, and that is what it's all about, no?
